A full denture is a detailed restoration that’s designed to restore all teeth in either the lower or upper arch. Made with gum-colored acrylics and natural-looking ceramics, full dentures are ideal for those who have suffered extensive tooth loss and want an affordable solution. Full dentures are held in place via the shape of your mouth as well as natural suction to your gum tissue. During the first month of use, you’ll also use denture adhesive to help you acclimate to your new denture.
Unlike full dentures, a partial denture is designed to replace multiple teeth on opposing sides of the mouth. When a dental bridge is not sufficient to address missing teeth, partial dentures act as a more effective solution. Partial dentures are also made from lifelike materials to ensure a natural appearance; however, instead of being held through natural suction and the shape of your mouth alone, they are held via metal clasps that wrap around existing teeth.
